Dogmother Films is a London based, independent film and tv production company, with a slate of compelling, character driven projects, in various stages of development. We champion writers and directors with bold, creative voices and a passion for storytelling.
Yasmin Rais is an independent feature film producer, born in Iran.
She began her filmmaking career in New York City, before relocating back to her hometown, London. In NY, she co-produced Shot in the Dark, Adrian Grenier's feature documentary which premiered at Tribeca and was picked up by HBO. She has since produced a number of short films, notably When the Rain Comes starring Dervla Kirwan & Holly Gibbs and The Ring Cycle starring Natalie Dormer & Emun Elliott.
As a script supervisor she worked on a variety of feature films and television productions, such as Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, Stanley Tucci's Final Portrait, and Ruth Jones & James Corden's Gavin and Stacey. She is currently developing a slate of feature films and tv shows through Dogmother Films. She is a member of BAFTA Connect.
