Our award-winning, BIFA-qualifying short film Dressed to the Nines, starring Daniel Ings & Reggie Absolom is currently screening internationally on the festival circuit. It has been selected for 27 festivals so far, including SCAD SAVANNAH Film Festival, INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL GLASGOW, UNRESTRICTED VIEW in London, CHELSEA FILM FESTIVAL & LOWER EAST SIDE FILM FESTIVAL in NYC, ROZE FILMDAGEN LGBTQIA in Amsterdam, TUCSON FILM FESTIVAL in Arizona, Winner of the Audience Award at KINO LONDON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, Best Narrative Fiction Short Winner at NORTHAMPTON and Awards for actor REGGIE ABSOLOM at both HEALDSBURG in Sonoma and BTBG in Worthing, with more screenings being announced in the coming weeks.
WHO WE ARE
Yasmin Rais is a British-Iranian independent film producer, based in the UK. She co-produced Shot in the Dark, Adrian Grenier’s feature documentary which premiered at Tribeca and was picked up by HBO. She’s since produced a number of shorts including: When the Rain Comes starring Dervla Kirwan & Holly Gibbs, written and directed by Jade Bell; The Ring Cycle starring Natalie Dormer & Emun Elliott, written and directed by Erin Cramer and most recently, Dressed to the Nines starring Daniel Ings & Reggie Absolom. She also co-produced the BIFA long-listed short film What We Wished We Could Be, directed by Luke Shelley. As a script supervisor she worked on numerous film and television productions, such as Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror, Stanley Tucci’s Final Portrait, Paul Andrew Williams' Song For Marion, Nick Moran's Telstar and Ruth Jones & James Corden’s Gavin and Stacey.
Yasmin is developing a slate of feature films and tv shows through Dogmother Films. She is currently taking part in The First Feature Producer Lab run by The Fold and funded by the BFI/ Mission Accomplished, with the feature project Dead Dad(s). She is thrilled to be joining the Jury for the 2026 Healdsburg International Short Film Festival in Sonoma, CA. Yasmin is a member of BAFTA Connect.

Everybody Gets One, a dystopian dark comedy feature film written by Tristan Willis.
Dead Dad(s), a coming-of-age feature film written by Tom Machell. Shooting in Spring 2027.
Tinola ~ a beautiful and urgent slice of life Filipino drama, co-written and directed by Ken Abalos and Arash Meshkati.
